Which Drive-in Damsel are you?

You're Ripley. Believe it or not. Which Drive-in Damsel Are You? brought to you by QuizillaI am very pleased with this result, being a huge Ripley fan! And of course Alien and Aliens are on my all time fave movie list. I Never miss a showing on the Space channel. The first time I saw Alien I was mesmerized. Here was a tough no nonsense hero. And she was a woman. And she cared about her cat Jones. It blew me away! I love this movie, chest-bursting- deliciousness aside. Then years later Aliens proved to be as good, perhaps an even better movie. But I'll never forget Alien, how it made me feel, watching her race against time, an alien, and her own shipmates, to save herself and her cat. And guess what? No man around telling her how to save herself. Go Ripleys of the world. HA!Anyway, this is soooo fitting, in another way...I saw Alien in a drive-in theatre. I'll never forget the night. It was raining buckets, which only seemed to add an extra layer of darkness to an already dark and ambient movie. Perhaps it was better watching it through windshield wipers and rain, rather than a quiet stale theatre, I don't know. I'll never forget it.I ganked this quiz from ladyozma I agree with her, it's sad to watch the demise of the drive-in theatre across both our countries. I have some great memories because of them. hehe Not what you may be thinking. ;) Quite innocent. As a teen, my friends and I would pile into a few cars, some in the trunk, and go to the all nighters. What could be better on warm summer nights under the stars, watching horror movies until dawn? Then maybe breakfast and finally falling into bed to sleep for the day.*sigh*

Drive Ins RULE! Ahhh the days of sitting on a blanket on the hood of your car or the back of your truck watching movies! Of course it was always good when the movies were cheesy. Warm summer nights, fresh air, popcorn by the bucketfull! And yes... sneaking into the drive-in in the trunk of a car! WOOHOO *SIGH* Restore the drive-ins! Resurrection! Resurrection! You know velvetcat, I have yet to see any of the Alien movies? I really need to. I need to catch up on my pop culture, don't I? Well if I ever watch them I will think of you! At least your drive-in character was someone you knew. I'm Alice and I have no clue who she is or what she is from! Takes some of the fun out of it! :(

You know velvetcat, I have yet to see any of the Alien movies? I really need to. I need to catch up on my pop culture, don't I?Don't want to sound pushy, but YESS, rent them both and watch in one night. How I envy you, to see all those heart stopping scenes for the very first time! ohhh. I love these movies. And the aliens are one of the scariest creatures ever envisioned, I think.I don't know who your damsel is I'm afraid.

Um aren't there three Alien movies now? I don't know. I'll have to look into them sometime. Maybe I'll luck out and Showtime will have them soon. If I get around to watching them, I'll let you know for sure! Hmm maybe someone will post and tell me who my damsel is. Dang I need more people to read my blog so that I can get someone to comment on my damsel... heheI posted a new quizze. I had to do this one. It was "what dragon are you" Well I just love dragons. Where can you go wrong with a dragon? Dragons rock. Dragons are beyond cool. I want my own pet dragon but I don't think my neighbours would understand.

j/k Lady Ozma!Your love of dragons just reminded me of Hagrid's in JKR's books.Well, yes there are actually 4 Alien movies. But IMHO the first 2 rocked the most. The first 2 would make a nice evening's viewing. But if you want to stay up all night you could torture yourself with all 4. lol*huggles*V

geeze, 4? That would have to be a two night thing then! Hmmm remind me this summer when I have nothing else to do... or if these repeats just don't stop! UGH!Hehe I totally love Hagrid! Hagrid is cool! Are you looking forward to the new Harry Potter book? I sure am! I still have to read books 3 and 4. I know, I know. I bought them. I have them. But they are on my "to read" shelf. I don't know if you saw it but I am restricted from the bookstore. I am not allowed to go till I read some of these books that I have already bought! Bad me! I kept going and buying and then not getting through them as fast as I thought. Of course as you see it doesn't get me to stop from going to the library. Hehe I promised myself that I would read ten books that I have bought (which would almost catch me up) and I have read four. I probably should have said I have to read 15. HEHE

You bet I'm looking forward to the next HP book. I love Snape. hehe Can't wait for June.LOL I can just picture it, when you enter a bookstore they have your picture on secret file and refuse to serve you. She's restricted.Face it, you'll have to learn to multi-task better - like work on computer, read, watch tv and movies all at once! You should be able to catch up then ;)

I can't believe you figured out what I do. I'm sitting here with laptop in my lap, tv on to Touched by an Angel, and my Anne Mccaffrey book right by me. I'm sad sad sad! HAHA. But I just put down book, going to do dishes during commercials! HEHEMy bookstore needs to have me on file. HEHE I go in there for one book and I leave with four. EEEK And then with the books I check out from the library, I just can't keep up! I'm a book-a-holic. I must admit it. I am. They say the first step is realizing you have a problem. HEHE

Really! You are a geeky Willow type aren't you. I'm kidding you, not that there is anything wrong with geeky Willow types.I'll admit this, I'm on the pc, have tv on, and playing tunes on my play list....must learn to read a book at same time, and maybe dust.

tinusilduitsnand7 said...

Bah dusting... that is evil. Leave it to the Charmed Ones. They can vanquish the dust! Yes I am the geeky Willow type. And proud of it! Go me! Sounds like you are dangerously close to be a geeky Willow type yourself! *wink wink* Geek Gurls unite!

senesmissyahoocom said...

Ri-ight. Vanquish the dust...or Cole could launch a fire-ball - on second thought that wouldn't be wise. Ack, who cares about dust anyway. Velvet <---geek girl

The first green faced icon looks like I didn't like but I did liketwas meant for the dust bunnies :)

mymordibfascination75 said...

you really only need to dust once a year. Yeah that's it. Hehehe and I definately think that the green face is good for dust. YUCK. Dust bunnies are breeding way too fast in my house. Ugh! Dust bunnies must die! I say we take Cole and The Charmed Ones and maybe the Slayer and we wage war on the true evils of this world... dust! Mwahahahaha

bzonam3rtaa said...

That's true about the dusting, they say it looks the same after a while.Don't forget Angel. heheWhoop - search and destroy!

bluecontour said...

Well currently Angel is not available. I don't know if we could handle Angelus. Even if he is more lethal than Angel. Hmmm what do you think? Invite Angelus along on our Dust Vanquishing Excursion? *grins*

retroglma said...

You are so right! ROFLWhat was I thinking!! I can "handle" Cole...barely, Angel would be a tad too much methinks. LOL!

budgetbeds4892 said...

Idle thought... could Cole and The Charmed Ones help return Angel's soul? Then we could have Angel help with the Attack of the Dust Bunnies.I can see it now... a power of three spell... hmmm

tdelahiesway3515 said...

There must be something for him in the Book of Shadows. Or, maybe Cole could talk Angelus into behaving...then again, maybe not. Angelus might lead Cole astray. Better look to the power of 3.

akashdylaa said...

Well now, we can't have Angelus leading Cole astray can we? That would be bad. V. bad. I say we use Cole to threaten Angelus with fireballs while we rely on the Power of Three to get back Angel's soul. *Rifling through the book of shadows in hopes of finding a spell for the sisters to use on Angelus.*

randosnewmfromlondon23yahoocom said...

Good plan - best laid plans......ummm could Angel have just a little Angelus in him, after all, we did decide he was sexier as Angelus, didn't we??? Pleasethankyou

rirwanlahed9 said...

Hmmm now how to extract that quality of Angelus that we like so much? OK this is going to call for RESEARCH! Oh Giles? Could you help the Charmed Ones a bit please? Thanks!

crhucneodtigeryahoocom said...

I have a funny feeling that Giles wouldn't go a long with our plan. ;) I don't know...

besthol1dyaz88 said...

You think he might balk? Hmmm Perhaps we can bribe him by telling him we KNOW why he used to be called Ripper. *smirk* That'll get a bug in his pants!

rebpawaeducadores93 said...

You are clever, blackmail is always good when fighting bad.

dcassereamd87yahoocom said...

Now all we have to do is not let on that we don't know why he is called Ripper. Hmmm Shhhh.*Calls Giles over to a dark shadowy corner*Ok that done. Now we got Giles on Research Duty. Charmed Ones preparing potions and asking advice from their Grandma. Willow is searching her Wiccan websites. Buffy is sharpening a stake in case worse comes to worse. Faith is polishing that chip on her shoulder.OK think we are doing good so far?
